The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying~Sogyal Rinpoche

This book inspires a major leap forward towards the spiritual living with the thought provoking reflections and teachings. It draw us to read further with the stream narration of buddhism and inspiring accounts of precious masters like Jamyang Khyentse Chokyi Lodro, Dudjom Rinpoche, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, Khandro Tshering Chodron and many other masters. This book counts its page till 425 within which 108 aliens things comes. However, with 10 times folded inspiring words of wisdom to the readers.

It leads us through the relaxed rhythem of spiritual practice and radiates us with the light of positivity. This book can be a book of respect not less to the book "Words of my Perfect Teacher" authored by Patrul Rinpoche (My own opinion). It is said that Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche takes the book "Words of my Perfect Teacher" wherever he goes and read few pages daily (Source: Heard from the custodian of Lamserpo lhakhang). Similar to that I personally found this book of equal value.

Sogyal Rinpoche introduces the practice of healing and the book's content aggregates to elaborate the cycle of living, dying, death and rebirth. Tibetan word for our body as Lue (ལུས།) meaning "Leave" utters its literal meaning of 'impermanence.' It conveys that learning to die is to learn how to live. Rinpoche interprets a must for spiritual decency in death bed rather than whining over the agony of death. Rinpoche elaborates dying and death blanding  with the law of physics rather than from the buddhist angle only. Thus, making precise sense to a reader.

Sogyal Rinpoche, the author of this book is one among many Buddhist master with a honorific title "Rinpoche (རིན་པོ་ཆེ།)~The Precious Master." He published this book in 1992 and Rinpoche passed into parinirvana in Thailand on 28 August 2019.
